Are you a Minnesota resident looking to make a positive impact while decluttering your life? Donating your RV or motorhome is a fantastic way to support a worthy cause while freeing up space in your driveway or storage lot. Many donors come to us with fond memories of family trips, weekend getaways, and unforgettable adventures spent in their recreational vehicles. Yet, as time goes on, many find that they no longer have the opportunity to use their beloved RVs and wish to pass that joy on to others.
At Nordic AutoGift, we understand the emotional connection people have with their vehicles. Whether it's a Class A Fleetwood or a cozy pop-up camper, we appreciate that every RV has its own story. By donating your RV, you can help those in need, support local charities, and potentially save on costly storage fees. Let us help you turn your unused vehicle into a meaningful gift that continues to make memories for others.

How pickup works
When it comes to picking up your RV or motorhome, Nordic AutoGift ensures a seamless process tailored to your vehicle's specific needs. Our team utilizes specialized RV-transport flatbeds for safe and secure transportation. Depending on the size and type of your vehicle, it may also involve drive-away arrangements. In many cases, we coordinate pickups directly from storage lots or RV parks, so you don’t have to be on site. However, it’s essential to consider your vehicle's length and height during scheduling, as most states require compliance with a maximum clearance of 13'6".
What drives donation value
The value of your donated RV or motorhome is influenced by several key factors. The condition of house systems—such as the roof, slides, plumbing, and AC—holds more weight than the drivetrain condition. If your vehicle has water damage, it can significantly devalue your donation. Having recent maintenance records on hand can also enhance its value. Seasonal trends play a role; spring auctions tend to yield higher values for RVs. For classic models, an appraisal is often necessary, and you may need to complete IRS Form 8283 Section B with a qualified appraiser.
Documentation you need
- Vehicle title
- Maintenance service records
- IRS Form 8283 for appraisals (for classic RVs)
- Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) for off-road vehicles
- Bill of sale (if applicable)
Minnesota specifics
In Minnesota, the process for RV and motorhome donations requires understanding local DMV regulations. Donors must provide a clear title to facilitate the transfer of ownership. In some cases, a bill of sale may be necessary if the vehicle is not state-titled. It's important to familiarize yourself with these requirements to ensure a smooth donation process.
