Vehicles we accept in Minnesota

Cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, RVs — running or not, clean title or complicated.

At Nordic AutoGift, we believe that every vehicle has the potential to make a difference in our community, whether it's running or not. We accept a wide range of vehicles, from cars that still have miles to give, to those that have seen better days. Our program is designed to convert your unused or unwanted vehicle into valuable funding for essential local services. Every donation, regardless of condition, helps us connect neighbors to crucial resources in Minnesota, like SNAP and Energy Assistance. Join us in making a positive impact today!

Categories we accept

Cars & Sedans
1995-present

Most cars and sedans are sold at auction, where they are purchased by new owners or dealers. If the vehicle is not in running condition, it can still be scrapped for parts, maximizing its value.

Given our cold winters, reliable sedans are a must for many Minnesotans who depend on their vehicles to navigate snowy roads.

Pickup Trucks
1995-present

Pickup trucks often attract buyers seeking reliable work vehicles. If not operational, they can be dismantled for parts, which are in high demand.

With many rural residents utilizing pickup trucks for farming and outdoor activities, donations in this category help support local needs.

SUVs & Crossovers
1995-present

SUVs and crossovers can be sold or recycled; their versatility often makes them popular at auctions, or they may be sold for parts.

Families love SUVs for their space during family outings to places like the North Shore or the Boundary Waters.

Motorcycles
1995-present

Motorcycles are typically auctioned off to enthusiasts who are looking for a new ride or project. Those in poor shape can be broken down for parts.

Our beautiful Minnesota landscapes draw many riders out in the summer, so your donation could help a fellow rider enjoy the great outdoors.

RVs & Campers
1995-present

RVs and campers are often sold at auction, or if they are not operational, they can be dismantled for parts, ensuring they still hold value.

With so many campsites around Minnesota, RV donations help other families create memories on their next adventure.

Boats
1995-present

Boats can be sold at auction to fishing or leisure enthusiasts, while non-functioning boats may be recycled for valuable materials.

With our beautiful lakes, your boat donation could support someone else's summer memories on the water.

Commercial Vehicles
1995-present

Commercial vehicles are often valued for their utility and can be sold to local businesses or scrapped for parts.

From delivery vans to service vehicles, these donations can help support local businesses needing an extra set of wheels.

Non-running Vehicles
No age restrictions

Non-running vehicles are assessed and can be either auctioned for parts or recycled. They still hold value, even if they aren't operational.

Even in Minnesota’s harsh winters, non-running vehicles can find new life, helping to fund programs that keep our community strong.

Condition guide

At Nordic AutoGift, we accept vehicles in various conditions, from fully operational to those that may not run at all. If your vehicle is running, it will often fetch a higher price at auction. However, we welcome donations of non-running vehicles as well; they can be sold for parts or recycled, providing critical resources for our community programs. Even if your vehicle has seen better days, it can still make a meaningful impact.

We also accept vehicles with salvage titles or those that have been involved in accidents. However, please note that the condition of the vehicle plays a role in its ability to be resold or recycled. Consult our guidelines if you're unsure about whether your vehicle qualifies; we're here to help!

Pickup considerations

Nordic AutoGift understands that some vehicles may not be operational or easily accessible, especially in Minnesota's rural areas or apartment complexes. Our team is equipped to handle pickup of non-running vehicles from diverse settings, including lots, driveways, and even marinas. Once you schedule a pickup, we’ll work with you to make the process as smooth as possible, ensuring your donation creates value for the community.
